KUNAK: Some 150 youngsters, including graduates yet to have a job, have been identified for a caged fish farming pioneer project in Sabah to begin this month.

Sabah Fisheries Department Deputy Director II, Azhar Kassim, said the 150 participants from Semporna, Kunak and Tuaran will be involved in the first phase of the project, where each will be supplied with 12 cages, fish seeds and fish feeds.

“This programme was agreed upon during a State Cabinet meeting in February, following the launch of the Agriculture Blueprint last year,” he said when met during the launching of the pioneer project at Kg Pangi Hujung officiated by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal.
